The overall objective of this action contributes is to support the protection of the environment, improve its quality and contribute to actions and policies aimed at biodiversity conservation in Serbia.
Job description
The primary purpose of this assignment is to support the identification, validation, designation and management planning of Natura 2000 sites in Serbia, with a particular focus on plant species. The expert will contribute to gap analysis, validation and harmonisation of plant species data, preparation and revision of Standard Data Forms (SDFs), targeted field verification where required, and the development of management plans, including conservation status assessment, identification of pressures and threats, conservation objectives and management measures. The expert will also provide technical support for mapping, data quality control, reporting, consultations and other Natura 2000 implementation activities. If required, the expert may also contribute plant species expertise to the development of CITES permit software and related training activities.
