The project aims at strengthening EU-Australia relations, in line with bilateral agreements, highlighting its cultural dimension, in coherence with the Indo-Pacific Strategy, the EU-Australia Framework Agreement, and the EU cultural diplomacy strategies and programmes.

More specifically, the project aims at

• Increasing understanding of EU as a global cultural powerhouse, in addition to its perception as a trading and economic bloc, and the enduring relevance and value of the EU’s cultural heritage and way of life in the modern world, including by leveraging on the visit of Commission Vice-President Schinas to Australia.
• Stregthening EU public diplomacy in Australia and increase EU visibility among the Australian society and government through a series of Maria Callas hologram performances and accompanying activities (e.g. networking events and related exhibition).
• Establishing new ties with decision makers and influential individuals in Australia, capitalizing on the events as a platform of engagement.
