The overall objective of the assignment was to support the Government of Aceh’s development plan, budget allocation and project level activities in forestry strategic areas in relation to climate change mitigation through Public Expenditure Review (PER).
Specific objectives were:

• to provide in-depth public expenditure tracking and analysis on the Government of Aceh (GoA) forestry sector strategic programme in relation to climate change mitigation in Aceh;
• to devise a strategy for the Government of Aceh for climate change mitigation and environmental protection short-term and long-term interventions through provincial development planning and optimised budget allocation.
