The purposes of this contract were as follows:
- To generate, analyze and disseminate relevant, timely and reliable statistical information on the living conditions of Afghan households;
- To assure the transition from a project-based approach to NRVA to a recurrent program-based activity under full ownership of the Central Statistics Organisation (CSO) by building, training and involving the core departments and functions;
- Ensure consistency in the implementation of the NRVA with the framework set by Afghan National Statistic Plan and available funding mechanisms
