Officer for Beneficiary Verification
Position
Officer for Beneficiary Verification
Project description
Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund (AHF) formerly known as the Common Humanitarian Fund is a Country Based Pooled Funds (CBPF) managed by the Humanitarian Financing Unit (AHF) of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) based in Kabul. The AHF was established in 2014. Under the leadership of the UN Assistant-Secretary General and Humanitarian Coordinator (HC), the AHF supports effective, coordinated, prioritized and principled humanitarian response in Afghanistan. The AHF mobilizes and channels donor resources to Implementing Partners (IP) working in the humanitarian sector of Afghanistan to respond to people in critical needs. The AHF allocates donor contributions to its
implementing partners in Afghanistan.
The AHF funds humanitarian projects across Afghanistan, often in environments that are prone to crises, conflict and instability. This requires enhanced ability of the AHF to conduct oversight, monitoring and physical verification of activities to measure performance of AHF funded projects.
AHF funded projects focus predominantly on providing life-saving humanitarian assistance in the following areas: health, nutrition, protection, food and agriculture, non-food items, shelter, water, sanitation and hygiene, education in emergencies and other humanitarian areas.
