This programme, including capacity building actions, is expected to improve implementation of the local governance and decentralisation sectors, through supporting civil society and improving gender equality and women empowerment, environment, climate, disaster risk reduction, livelihoods, democracy and poverty.
Job description
Particip, in partnership with Helvetas Bhutan, is looking for a Senior Gender Expert (International Consultant) for our EU-funded project: EU Technical Assistance - Strengthening Local Governance, Decentralisation & Gender Mainstreaming (Bhutan).
Requirements
Education:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
Experience:
- 10+ years in gender equality/social inclusion
- Proven track record in training design/delivery
- Skilled in coaching/mentoring
- Excellent English (C2 level), basic Dzongkha desirable
Skills:
- Strong facilitation and communication
- Ability to work independently
- Familiarity with global/regional gender issues
Additional information
Duration: 60 days intermittent between September 2025 and May 2027
Location: Home-based (with in-country missions to Bhutan)
