The Laos–EU Cooperation Facility (LECF) is a forthcoming EU-funded project aiming to strengthen bilateral cooperation and policy dialogue between the European Union (EU) and the Government of Lao PDR, in line with the Multiannual Indicative Programme (MIP) 2021–2027. The Facility will support the EU Delegation and national stakeholders in:
- Organising high-level and technical policy dialogues
- Improving communication and visibility of EU development cooperation
- Facilitating coordination among the EU, Member States, and other partners
- Supporting the design, implementation, and monitoring of EU-funded projects
Description de poste
We are seeking a national expert to serve as the Technical Coordinator, responsible for the day-to-day coordination, logistical, and administrative support of the project. As a core member of the team, working closely with the Team Leader and under the supervision of the EU Delegation.
The Technical Coordinator will:
- Support the preparation, organisation and reporting of events, studies, consultations, trainings and missions.
- Liaise with national stakeholders, including public authorities, CSOs, and private sector.
- Coordinate the organisation of high-level events with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Ensure timely mobilisation of resources and effective project logistics.
- Contribute to planning and execution of the 6-monthly work plans and individual Requests for Services (RfS).
- Maintain records, facilitate communications, and monitor quality control and evaluation forms after each event.
- Ensure inclusive practices and gender-sensitive coordination.
Conditions requises
Language Requirement:
- C2 level in Lao (native proficiency)
- C1 level or higher in English
Qualification - Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Administration, Logistics/Procurement, HR Management, Project/Event Management),
OR vocational education in the same field plus 4 additional years of relevant experience.
General Professional Experience: - At least 5 years of experience in project management and coordination.
Specific Professional Experience: - At least 3 years organising meetings, consultations, and/or workshops in coordination with government, development partners or civil society.
- Proven experience in organising high-level events with diverse stakeholder groups.
- At least 3 client-facing deliverables in the past 2 years that showcase relevant coordination or event organisation.
Informations supplémentaires
- The position is intermittent (non-full-time) and based in Vientiane, with variable input over the course of the project depending on activity planning.
- This is a long-term part-time position with a minimum input of 350 working days over 36 months.
