The overall objective of this action contributes is to support the protection of the environment, improve its quality and contribute to actions and policies aimed at biodiversity conservation in Serbia.
Description de poste
The primary purpose of this assignment is to support the identification, validation, designation and management planning of Natura 2000 sites in Serbia, with a specific focus on newt species. The expert will contribute to gap analysis, validation and harmonisation of species data, preparation and revision of Standard Data Forms (SDFs), targeted field verification where required, and the development of management plans for selected Natura 2000 sites. The assignment also includes assessing the conservation status of newt species and their habitats, identifying pressures and threats, defining conservation objectives, proposing management measures, and providing technical support for mapping, reporting, consultations and other Natura 2000 implementation activities.
