The objective of this contract is to provide technical assistance for the “Regional Civil Society Facility” that aims to “an enhanced involvement and influence of CSOs in dialogue and policy making, including in EU-related policy at national-level and in the Southern neighbourhood”. The technical Assistance will be providing contents-based support to CSOs and facilitating structured dialogue between CSOs and the EU in the region as well as support to DG MENA including EU Delegations in their engagement with civil society.

Example of tasks to be expected
- General supervision and coordination of all activities of the programme;
- Ensuring the overall quality support and control for all project outputs and design of deliverables;
- Managing the project team;
- Planning, organisation and monitoring of activities;
- Coordination and implementation of the CS leadership programme;
- Methodological and technical support to Financial Framework Partnership Agreements and EUDs in the areas of mappings, identification/selection of subgrantees, etc;
- Managing relations with civil society organisations, public institutions, the EU Delegations and other stakeholders;
- Supporting capacity building networking and communication initiatives of FPAs (Financial Framework Partnership Agreements);
- Drafting and submitting activity reports to the Contracting Authority;
- Information/communication about the activities and effective dissemination of results.
Conditions requises
Profile
- At least 10 years of working experience, out of which at least 5 years experience in a management position, of which at least 3 years as a team leader (i.e. experience in project management and team coordination).
- At least 5 years of working experience with civil society in developing countries, including at least 2 projects involving Neighbourhood south countries, and;
- At least 5 years of experience in managing a team; supervising and coordinating all technical aspects of a contract; ensuring good client communication; organising and overseeing administrative and logistical support;
- Experience in EU projects is mandatory, experience in projects focused on policy dialogue such as the EU Structured Dialogue process will be an asset
- Academic profile: Masters-level university degree or equivalent (i.e. 6 years of relevant professional experience following secondary education), the fields of social sciences, international relations or sociology will be an asset
- Proven ability to manage a complex constellation of stakeholders.
- Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Arabic will be considered as an asset.
